Sundays 8:00 a.m. - The Holy Eucharist (Rite I) This is a quiet spoken service using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer. Many people who attend this service find it meaningful because of its simplicity. While there is no music at this service, the emphasis on quiet preparation and a straightforward approach to the liturgy of the Church is appealing. This is a great way to start the Lord's day. 10:00 a.m. - The Holy Eucharist (Rite II) This is the main service of the week. Music plays an important role in this liturgy. Selections from the Episcopal hymnal, the singing of the psalms, choir anthems, and contemporary Christian praise music is used throughout the course of the year. On the second Sunday of the month, this service is more contemporary. Children and young adults are encouraged to participate by reading the lessons, bringing forward the oblations, and serving as acolytes. Supervised nursery and childcare is also available for this service. Wednesdays 12:00 Noon - Healing Service This service is a time when we can bring ourselves and others before the Lord and ask for healing in our lives. We ask that our total selves: body, mind, and spirit may be touched and nourished by the Savior. The ancient biblical practice of anointing with oil and the laying on of hands is practiced at this service. The Holy Eucharist is then offered as a continuation of our healing prayer. Saturdays 5:00 p.m. - Holy Eucharist The readings from Scripture and the Sermon are the same that are used the next day on Sunday. |
